According to Tin Can Tourists, Bob Barth grew tired of wooden frames and aluminum sheathing — so much so, he left Beeline, his own company to pursue the concept of all-aluminum construction.

His actions resulted in light and stiff Barth Travel Trailers manufactured from 1963 to ’68. During its short existence under Bob, the company focused on American made, quality-crafted trailers. Bob ended up selling the company, and new leadership transitioned to high-end coach building.

Early trailers, like this ’64 are sought after for their craftsmanship and, unique at the time, full-aluminum construction. We gave this charismatic camper a fresh external polish, and an interior redesign that is intended to provide inviting accommodations for guests staying at Chillville, an exclusive vintage camper community within Washington’s wine country.

The interior now features custom open-space shelving so visitors can quickly identify kitchenware and other essentials, like a wine bottle opener. This remodel also includes all new, easy-to-clean walls and marmoleum floor that’s accentuated by new counter tops and a custom aluminum back splash. The bathroom’s also completely updated, without watering down the sixties travel-trailer experience.
